What does it mean to plan ahead?
Being an idealist, i like to plan ahead. But it also means that when things don’t go according to plan, I get disheartened and mull over it for quite a while.
So one night i thought to myself, “i’ll just stop planning, then i wont be disheartened anymore because things can’t go wrong if i don’t plan for them to turn out right.”
“I’ll just live a day at a time, and take things as they come. Come what may, nothing too bad can happen right?”
Wrong.
Well, I realised that to stop planning just to avoid disappointment and hurt is not the way to live life. God has a plan for each one of us. Jeremiah 29:11 – 13 says (11) “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord (God), “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. (12) Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. (13) You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
I applied for the Central Provident Fund Board (CPFB) Sponsorship in February. When I got shortlisted for the first round of interviews, i was pretty excited. When I got through that and was invited to take a psychometric test as the second round of selection, I was elated! :) However, I couldn’t finish all the test questions so I thought I wouldn’t make it through. When I got the call to go for the final interview, I was downright surprised!~
All this while, my family and some of my church friends had been keeping me in prayer. I am ever so grateful to them for their support. =) This week, I got the email saying that my application for the sponsorship had not been successful. I knew then that God had a better plan in mind for me. But I was still a little disappointed nonetheless. I really put in a lot of effort into this…
“Plan ahead: it wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark.”
… That’s true, but although Noah built the ark, God drew out the plans.

Wow look like you have not been updating much huh? Ok you have hope in god was what you chose to believe in. I just want to said is “Those who do things right and are not discouraged and are persistent, thing will happen. He/she will begin to receive the rewards.” Never stop believe in yourself and work towards your goal.

Hi “someone”,
Thank you for dropping by and for your comment. :)
Yes you are right in saying that having a plan means having hope.. hope that things will turn out the way you planned.
I don’t really understand your question though, but i’ll try to answer it. I guess if I should die in my sleep one day, then yes perhaps that is God’s plan for me.. because I choose to live for Him. I have hope in God.
Even if to us it might not seem like a good thing, Romans 8:28 in the bible says “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
If we love God, we will want to live according to His plan. That is why I said in my blog post: “although Noah built the ark, God drew out the plans.” Noah obeyed God and built the ark according to God’s plans because Noah loved God.
